Central Arkansas vs Texas Tech College Football Preview

The Central Arkansas Bears travel to Lubbock, Texas to take on the Texas Tech Red Raiders at Jones AT&T Stadium. Central Arkansas opened their last season with a win over Incarnate Word 58-7. This year they won’t be so lucky when they meet the team that earned 2nd in the nation in passing yards. The Red Raiders went 8-5 season behind a 35.8 scoring average per game.Kliff Kingsbury will be looking to get his Red Raider squad back to the passing game and the high scoring offense of 2013. The Raiders were ranked as high as 10th last season, and they will want to get back into the top 25.

Keys for the Central Arkansas Bears:
 Head Coach Steve Campbell has improved this Bear team in the offseason by placing junior QB Taylor Reed in the first team offense. Reed has improved this offseason and he will be hoping to get the Bears back to the FCS playoffs.
 The Bear will have to utilize a young running back squad; even with the youth the bears must find a way to successfully rush the ball.

Keys for the Texas Tech Red Raiders
 Davis Webb returns for the Red Raiders at QB, and he will want to pass the ball as often as possible. They lost their top receiver but return many other capable athletes to fill the position.
 Kenny Williams will again be in the backfield rushing when the Red Raiders get tired of throwing the ball. Williams will want to add to his 15 career touchdowns with Texas Tech.

The Red Raiders will be back to their passing game in 2013, and hopefully they will be back to winning games.Kliff Kingsbury should have his offense ready to fire for game one.
