Indiana State vs Indiana College Football Preview

The Indiana State Sycamores travel to face their in-state rival Indiana Hoosiers. The Hoosiers will look at this game as a warm-up game before Big-10 play gets underway. 2013 saw Indiana dominate in their passing game, and would score points in bunches. Although both of these sides struggled last year this game will have great importance in the state of Indiana. The Hoosiers face a daunting Big-10 schedule after their non-conference games, making this game all the more important for them. Last year the Hoosiers absolutely dominated the Sycamores, scoring 73 points. There’s no reason to think that this season will be any different, sorry Sycamores.  -Keys for Appalachian State Mountaineers:

Keys for the Indiana Hoosiers:

      • Nate Sudfeld will finally get his starting QB spot locked down for the 2013 season. Sudfeld has proven himself coming off the Hoosier bench and in 2013 he had more then 2,500 yards passing and 21 touchdowns.
      • Tevin Coleman returns to the running back position with 182 carries and 1183 yards in 2013. Coleman should have better blocking this year, which could open up the gaps for him to escape into the secondary.

Keys for Indiana State Sycamores:

      • Indiana State’s only win in 2013 came against Quincy. If they have any hope of winning this game then QB Mike Perish will need to have the game of his life.
      • The Sycamores scored 70 points against Quincy, a record for the most points scored for an Indiana State team
      • Indiana State will want to limit the bleeding and make sure to not turn the ball over.

–Favorite/Odds: Indiana by 40.5 points

This game has most likely already been decided. Indiana Hoosiers should win this game easily. Anything less then a 20 point win for Indiana should be considered a disappointment.
