Wofford vs Georgia Tech College Football Preview

The Wofford Terriers of the FCS face off against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and their high-octane option offense. Wofford certainly has its hands full with this Georgia Tech team that is capable of producing high offensive numbers rushing the ball. The Terriers were destroyed by Baylor in their season opener in 2013, but once again face an explosive offense. Wofford didn’t score in their game against Gardner-Web, who only scored three points in the victory. Georgia Tech will certainly be looking at this game as a tune-up for the rest of their season. The Yellow Jackets are no stranger to dominating FCS teams, just as they did in their season opener in 2013 against Elon, winning 70-0. -Keys for Appalachian State Mountaineers:

Keys for Wofford Terriers:

      • Wofford really struggled against good defensive teams, having low scores in almost all of their losses.
      • The Terriers are a rushing offense that struggles against teams that stack players in the box.

Keys for Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets:

      • Junior QB Vad Lee leads his option Yellow Jackets back to the field. Lee struggled with passing the ball because of his 10 interceptions, but he contributes to the running game with his option strategy. Lee had 513 yards rushing last season and 8 rushing touchdowns, clearly a duel threat.
      • The Yellow Jackets lost their two best running backs and will have to find replacements to put behind Vad Lee.

–Favorite/Odds: Georgia Tech by 45.5 points

Georgia Tech will be out to crush the FCS Wofford, and there’s not a whole lot that Wofford can do about it. Although Georgia Tech probably won’t stop Wofford 100% of the time, but Georgia Tech will continue to score points well into the fourth quarter to put this game to bed.
